About the Self Catering Cottage in Glencoe
|
This very attractive 150 year old stone built cottage is semi
detached.
The cottage is heated by electric night storage heaters all
included in price.
Details as follows:
Ground floor Entrance:
PORCH - A good sized porch, racked out for walking boots etc. Also hanging area with heater for drying, useful on wet days!

BEDROOMS:
One Twin bedroom: This room also has a ladder
with handrail and balcony rail to a small mezzanine level,
that has a double mattress on the floor.
One double room
Both bedrooms are cosy and well presented.
A double sofa bed
can be used in the lounge area, if preferred to the hayloft
bed in the twin room. |

SITTING ROOM/DINING ROOM - Has dining
table and chairs and sitting area around an attractive
fireplace with slate hearth and surround, housing a solid
fuel burner - this will be set ready for your arrival, additional coal/wood can be purchased locally from the garage/shop nearby.
There is a TV , a portable CD/radio player and a growing library
of CDs and books and things to do.
The room is open plan to the kitchen and a door gives
access to the rear garden. |

KITCHEN - Small but well equipped
with wall and base units: gas cooker, washing machine,
fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster
and Dishwasher.

SHOWER ROOM - Shower cubicle with an electric shower, WC and wash hand basin, heated towel
rail, mirror cabinet and wall mounted heater.
Upper Floor:

A stairway from the rear hall (slate tiled floor) leads
to the upper lounge.
Part of the cottage's charm is that there are interesting features, such as a couple of low doorways and a short but fairly steep staircase to the upper Lounge. Please do take care and remember to "duck " at all the right times !

LOUNGE - This has windows front and
back overlooking the bay towards Loch Leven and the
Callart Hills and the Mamores beyond. The lounge is
small and cosy with wooden flooring. There is TV and
DVD, there is also a small DVD library. Sofa Bed here
for extra sleeping space if required.

There is access from the lounge to the garden via double doors opening
to an external staircase into the garden.

|
OUTDOORS - A side garden with double
gates provides off road parking. The rear garden is large
and enclosed with picnic table and garden chairs. It has
a slated patio and thereafter terraced areas rising up
(small children beware).
A BBQ & rotary clothesline is available here too.
There is a section of the large shed that can be used for guests to store and lock away bicycles. |

Please note this is a non smoking cottage. You may
smoke in the garden, please be considerate to neighbours
and clear up mess. |
A warm welcome awaits you with tea and coffee and pint of milk,
fire laid ready for you to light on arrival. Friendly help nearby
if needed. Real home from home in a cosy full of character cottage
with all mod cons.

TARIFF
|
Prices includes bed linen, hand and bath towels and tea towels.
All power for lighting, cooking, heating etc. - The cottage
is heated by electric night storage heaters all included in
price.
A travel cot can be provided on request - you need to bring
own linen for cot.
Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement at £15.00 a week or £2.50 a day for short breaks.
Owners must provide suitable bedding for their dog. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the cottage at any time and must not be allowed on any furniture and beds. Please clear up very carefully after your dog indoors and out, the next guests may not be doggy people.
All dates are Saturday to Saturday.
If you require different dates i.e. weekend or midweek only
breaks - please contact us for a quote.
A non refundable 30% deposit is required at time of booking
and balance is due not less than 8 weeks of period of hire .
If booking within 8 weeks full amount of hire is required.
Payment by BACS, cheque or PAYPAL.
Unfortunately we do not accept credit/debit cards.
